Vehicles must be more than 25 years old. As all Jensen cars in Victoria fall into that age category, all Jensen models are eligible for a club permit.
JCCA members can only have a non-Jensen vehicle on a club registration if they already own a Jensen.
The JCCA limits this to vehicles requiring a road worthy certificate (RWC). Cars manufactured before 1948, for which a RWC is not required, are thus excluded.
Owners are required to be financial members of an approved motoring club in order to be eligible for a club permit.
If the JCCA sponsors the club permit, the owner is required to maintain financial membership of the JCCA. The JCCA is required by law to notify VicRoads if membership lapses. A 7-day grace period is allowed. Beyond that period, a lapse in financial membership renders the car unregistered.
To ensure JCCA records are up to date, existing CPS members may be required to provide current photos on renewal if those we have are deemed out of date.
Applicants must allow sufficient time for application forms to be processed by an authorized JCCA officer.
Once members receive their signed paperwork from the JCCA, they should submit it to VicRoads for payment (including RWC for new applications).
Special licence plates are issued for club registration.
